| “I feel that my life’s work has allowed me to develop
a keen sense of awareness reference an individual’s character
and intentions. I rank Stan at the top of both of those
lists. Stan is a hardworking young man with a real sense
of warmth and compassion. The young men that Stan has
worked with both on and off the ice this year in hockey
simply adore this man. The parents of those young men
appreciate Stan’s character, work ethic, and warmth even
more!” |
Hammons, Ernest |
| “I met my talented hockey coach in January 2004. I feel
he is greatly appreciated by the entire team and everybody
that has come into contact with him. He has moved our
team forward in the High School League and many are looking
forward to another great season with Stanislav.” |
Carew, John |
| “We at CHHS Ice Hockey are privileged to have Coach
Stan on the team. He brings a wealth of knowledge and
experience to our club and has had a big positive influence
on our players/students. He has shown great interest in
our organization and we hope that he is in our plans for
future.” |

“When Stan first came to us as a volunteer he provided
us with a resume that described his background in Russia
as a professional hockey player, as a student of the game
of hockey, and as a hockey teacher and coach. We could
quickly ascertain from those documents that Stan was undoubtedly
a good hockey player and that he knew his way around a
hockey rink. Both of these facts were quickly confirmed
when he stepped onto the ice. His knowledge of the game
far surpasses that of most other youth hockey coaches,
and his rapport with the players was immediate. What was
not so easily ascertained from those documents, and what
makes Stan an extraordinary hockey coach, are other, less
tangible, aspects of his approach to coaching, such as:
· how much he would come to know and respond to each player,
working with each boy’s talents and limitations in order
to bring out the best in that boy
· the way he would talk to the boys about their lives
away from the hockey rink, encouraging each of them to
work to their maximum abilities in the classroom as well
as in a game
· How Stan would encourage each boy to take care of and
to care for the other boys in our team. Boys who did not
know each other when the season began ended the season
as a family, thanks in no small part to Stan. He was very
serious about the individual talks he had with them.
Stan is the kid of coach and the kid of adult, I want
to have near my own son, and we all feel most fortunate
to have had the privilege of getting to know Stan this
past year.” |

| “Stan’s patience and guidance are unmatched, and he
is the most caring person I’ve met in a long time. Stan
brought our team together and we took him in as a brother
as well as our mentor. He taught us many life lessons,
and how to play the game of hockey. More importantly than
hockey though, Stan taught us friendship, and taught us
all to be men. We matured and grew together and this season
was the most successful season I have been apart of.” |

| “In the 10 years I have been involved with amateur ice
hockey, I have never experienced a coach more dedicated
to the young men on his team with such a high degree of
ethics and sportsmanship. He voluntarily gives his time,
energy, and expertise to make these young men the best
they can be. While he instills in them commitment, dedication
and hard work, he doesn’t distance himself. He has become
as much of a friend and mentor to all of these young men
as he is a coach.” |

| “Our good fortune was to meet and for our son to be
coached by Mr. Stanislav Tugolukov. What a delightful
person!!!! The boys on the Alliance Midget Major AA hockey
team think Stan is absolutely THE coolest guy, and so
do the parents. Stan was able to convey to our boys what
he wanted out of them, keep a smile on their faces and
get them to do what he wanted. He was always available
to talk to player or parent and was always polite, helpful,
and had encouraging words for everyone.” |
Bell, Suzanne |
| “Stan’s friendship has impacted my life greatly in that
he has helped me become a better hockey player, a better
student, and a better person. Stan has always been there
to help me and any of other boys on the team with their
problems, his easygoing personality and his good morals
made it easy for us to look up to him and quick to take
his sound advice. Stanislav’s vast knowledge of the game
of hockey brought him to our team to coach, but we got
much more than a great hockey coach: we got a dear friend.” |
Richardson, Ben |
| “Stan’s knowledge of the game of hockey is enormous;
however, his concern for my son and all the boys on the
team outweighs any scale. He has taken special interest
in each player so they may achieve their hockey potential
as well as helping them form into well rounded young men.
Stanislav Tugolukov has the highest morals, ethics and
integrity as a person and we would welcome the opportunity
to have ourselves or any of our children work directly
with him.” |
Richardson, Heidi |
| “Stan is an exemplary person and coach. His knowledge
of the game of ice hockey is needed in this area of the
country. WE have struggled for years to find quality people
to coach ice hockey, and Stan has filled one of those
slots. Not only is his knowledge needed, but his quality
of leadership as well.” |
Petty, Randall |
| “Stanislav is a very positive force on our organization
and our kids. Both my son and seemingly the rest of the
players really look up to him for leadership, guidance,
and knowledge, and of course his fun nature.” |
